Yankees and White Sox to wear custom uniforms at Field of Dreams game

When the New York Yankees and Chicago White Sox take to the field in Dyersville next week, both teams will pay homage to baseball players of yesteryear by wearing custom uniforms inspired by the past.

Chicago’s uniform will be white with navy blue stripes and the vintage “SOX” monogram stitched to the left of the jersey. The White Sox cap will be a matching white cap with navy blue pinstripes.

The Yankees uniform will be gray with the “New York” wordmark stitched to the chest in navy blue. The team hat is also navy blue and has a larger interlocking “NY” logo in white.

The White Sox clearly got into the spirit of the Field of Dreams as they took their shots against a cornfield as a backdrop and Twitter thread, asking if they were in heaven – a reference to the 1989 film.

Replica jerseys and other items from the “Field of Dreams” collection are on sale and can be found at MLB Shop Website.

The contest, which will be held near the site of the hit movie “Field of Dreams” starring Kevin Costner, will be Major League Baseball’s first official regular season game to be played in Iowa.
