The Nike logo is on the front of MLB jerseys for the 2020 season, and some baseball fans aren’t too thrilled

Baseball is often referred to as an American pastime due to its longevity and rich history. That’s why sometimes the smallest changes in the sport can put fans on edge. The latest comes from Major League Baseball’s new uniform supplier.

Nike is replacing Majestic as the game’s supplier and on Monday revealed what each team’s home jersey will look like with their iconic swoosh on the chest during the 2020 season (You can follow all new threads here.) Some purists are less than thrilled with the new changes while others aren’t bothered by the swoosh at all.

While other major North American leagues have already embraced the idea of ​​logos and advertisements on their jerseys, not all baseball fans seem ready for what’s to come in the near future.

At least no one is dramatic and people are willing to change their minds about the look eventually. Oh, wait…

Correction: There are actually 649,164* fans saying this is ruining lore.

And speaking of tradition…

The overwhelming answer is that the logo would look better on the sleeve.

They are right…

We can’t say we haven’t seen this hate coming from baseball fans.

However, not everyone despises the look. The positive responses vary from “it’s good” to “it’s great”.

Some even commented that it is ultimately a decision that makes the league look younger.

Ultimately, once the season kicks off, people will probably give a damn and won’t even notice the logo.
