MLB: How to watch the 2022 World Series: Astros vs. Phillies live without cable on November 5

October is here and the hunt for pennants in the National and American League is heating up. The teams are set and the defending World Series champion Atlanta Braves look to defend their crown as the 2022 MLB playoffs continue.

Fans will notice that this year’s playoffs will have a new format. Instead of the usual 10 teams, for the first time, 12 teams will enter the playoffs for a chance to qualify for the Fall Classic. Historically, there will be four games in the best-of-3 Wild Card series replacing the usual single-elimination Wild Card games, which will be followed by a best-of-5 Division series. The Padres, Mariners, Guardians and Phillies won their World Card Series clashes and qualified for the League Division Series.

After a grueling League Division Series, the Phillies, Astros and Padres won their respective series to advance to the League Championship Series. In the NLCS, the Phillies managed to give the Padres a gentlemanly sweep by eliminating them 4-1 and qualifying for their first World Series since 2009. In the ALCS, the Astros swept the Yankees, 4-0, to move on to their second – straight Fall Classic.
